Professor Dr. Muhammad Afzal is working as Deputy Chief Scientist at the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Faisalabad, Pakistan, where he leads the Wastewater Treatment and Phytoremediation Group and heads the Environmental Monitoring Laboratory. Muhammad won several awards including President�s Award for Pride of Performance, Nature Research Awards for Driving Global Impact, Gold Medal in Earth and Environmental Sciences by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, NIBGE best scientist of year Gold Medal award. He has won 29 funded projects, and is an author of 115 research articles with a total impact factor 650 and citation about 8350 with h-index 54.
