Zia ur Rehman

About

Mr. Zia Ur Rehman is a seasoned sustainability professional and climate change communicator leading the Office of Sustainability at NUST, where he drives institutional transformation through climate action, ESG integration, and SDG implementation. He represented Pakistan at COP29 and is a DAAD Exchange Program awardee (2025) on Greenhouse Gas Emissions at Geisenheim University, Germany. Working at the intersection of climate and water, Zia has led and co-led multiple national and international projects with GIZ, UNICEF, and other INGOs, focusing on gender, resilience, eco-tourism, and sustainable water management. He also introduced NUST�s first Sustainable Event Guide and continues to make the university a more inclusive and climate-resilient campus through policy innovation, research collaboration, and youth�engagement.
